Knitting Class list for Jan to March 2015

Classes coming up: January to March Two hour classes = $25.00,    Three hour classes = $30.00, others marked Materials are extra unless otherwise indicated Beginner – Level 101- absolute beginner Novice – Level 102 – C omfortable with the knit stitch, the purl stitch, work basic increases and decreases, and can cast on and cast off Intermediate – Level 103 - Each class has been labelled with the skill level required to tackle the class. If in doubt about taking a certain class, just ask us and we can let you know more information. 101 knitting – Saturdays – Jan 10 + 17 - 10am to 12pm -  Learn all the basics from A to Z Two sessions -  Learn the basic skills of knitting – casting on, making knit stitches, making purl stitches, combination- knits & purls, stockinette stitch, garter stitch and castng off. Ready to advance? - move on to 102 Learn to Knit in the Round. Patterns: beginner hats, fingerless, boot cuff, baby sweaters, booties Materials:

We’re Making Mittens Every Canadian needs mittens- with cables, stripes, thrums, felted, fair isle Fridays – Nov 7 – Dec 5 from 12pm to 3pm $25.00 to join the Mitten Club Save 10% off your yarns used for your club mitten pattern All patterns are supplied We will teach you the skills you need so don’t worry about that!! If you need more help before the next class, you can always drop in on Wednesday afternoons for help!! If this winter is like last winter – we will need nice warm mittens!! Getting the Best Fit from your Hand Knit Socks I hear this over and over again… My socks fit OK, but the fit could be better I have a wide foot but a narrow heel… how do I get a good fit? We are offering the “Sock Secret Weapon to getting the Perfect Fit” Class Join us on Wednesday November 5, 2014 from 9:30am to 12:30pm During this 3 hour class: $30.00 + HST (Includes hand-out) We will discuss fit, measure your feet and design your special fit The class is limited to 6 participants Payment required at time of registering. Needle Felting a Tea Cosy – Freehand Floral!!
