Hi everyone, We are offering a Beginner Lace class in April.  L ace knitting is artistic knitting!  Come a learn about knitting HOLES!  Lace is more about what you don't knit than what you do!  You will learn the basics of knitting lace, lace stitches, reading written/charted directions, and more. This week was a fun one. Spring yarns are arriving and we finally had more sunshine:) The Knit Swirl group is busy working away on thier jackets. Two girls chose Sheer Beauty and one chose Go Green. Can't wait to see how they turn out. They have two more weeks before we meet again.  One chose plain solid colour in worsted weight yarn for an everyday jacket... This would be my choice too... although, I'm not making one... Dallas dropped in this week with a surprise in tow - a large bag of Alpaca roving... oh how nice!! gorgeous natural grey mix.... My spinning wheel is going to get a work out. I have ordered drop spindles for an up coming class. Spinning fibre - can't wait... Pat arrived on Thursday with a beautiful bouquet of flowers - congratulations on winning the entreprenuer of the year award, said the card... absolutely stunning, yellows & greens... roses & spider moms... hope they last a while.. My grandson turns 9 today. I asked him if he feels older "

UFO weekly class starting Wed March 13th @ 1pm

OK, you know you have a few UFOs in your knitting closet. Now's the time, search them out, bring them into Grey Heron and join the UFO class. That's the "Un-Finished Objects" class. Our sock UFO class starts next Tuesday March 12th @ 10am to 12pm @ $10.00.  Heather will be helping you reconnect with your sock, get you restarted, back on track and soon you'll be ready to wear your wonderful hand knit socks. Don't be shy - we all have them hiding in our closets, bins and boxes. Wednesday March 13th Donna will be here to help you tackle your ?? UFO. 1pm to 3pm @$10.00 Maybe it's a sweater you started sometime ago. Now you forget where you left off, can't remember why you wanted to even make this pattern - what ever your reason, there's no time like the present to get the project done. No judging happens at this table - as we've ALL been there before. Consider it your "Knitting Spring Cleanse"
